Coleman: Workshop B The Application of Video, Multi-Media & Tests on Pocket PCs/PDAs/Smartphones Presenters: Nellie deCrom & Annette de Jager Tshwane University of Technology South Africa The aims and objectives of this workshop are to introduce the audience to a hands-on experience to the use of Laptops / Tablets / Pocket PCs / PDAs / Smart phones / Mobile Phones in teaching and learning to manage (1) video and (2) multi-media data on these devices. During this workshop the attendees will be exposed to a hands-on experience where they will learn the skills on how to take a video clip with an ordinary video camera and prepare and transfer the video to one of the mentioned devices to show a full screen video. The workshop will include exposure to a variety of multi-media software that has been developed, such as birds, wildlife, trees, grasses, etc. and how these could be used in teaching and learning. As part of the workshop the attendees will then give examples of the opportunities to use video, multi-media and tests in their own subject (educationalists) or career (business people). |
